At FaithlyBible, we value authenticity, clarity, and respect. Usernames are a core part of how our community interacts, and we ask all members to choose names that reflect our mission of providing a safe, Christ-centered environment.
✅ Allowed Usernames
Usernames should reflect your identity or your walk with Christ. Acceptable examples include:
Real names (e.g.,
SarahM,Elijah.James)Ministry-related titles (e.g.,
PastorJohn,Minister_Lucas)Biblical or faith-inspired usernames (e.g.,
LightInTheDark,GraceSeeker77)
❌ Prohibited Usernames
The following are not allowed on FaithlyBible:
Placeholder names (e.g.,
John Doe,TestUser,Anonymous123)Profanity or suggestive language (e.g., slang with sexual or crude implications)
Impersonation or misleading usernames (e.g., using a name to imitate another member or public figure)
Unreadable formatting (e.g.,
xX__$4v!0rXx, excessive symbols, random numbers)
🚨 Enforcement & Consequences
FaithlyBible moderators will issue actions based on violations:
First offense: Warning of required username change
Repeated offenses: Temporary account suspension
Severe or persistent violations: Permanent account restriction
If your account is flagged, you’ll be prompted to update your display name before regaining access.
🔄 Display Name vs. Username
FaithlyBible distinguishes between your username (used for account identification and login) and your display name (shown publicly to others in study groups, prayer rooms, and messages).
This policy applies to both fields. Whether it's your display name or username, both must follow the same community standards for appropriateness, clarity, and respect. Nicknames are welcome as long as they do not fall under prohibited categories outlined in this policy.
📣 Appeals Process
Administrative decisions — including name violations, suspensions, or warnings — can be appealed directly from your account:
Go to Settings → Appeals (tab) and follow the on-screen instructions to submit your appeal.
You are allowed one appeal submission per violation. Once that opportunity is used and if your appeal is denied, but you genuinely believe the decision was made in error, you may contact our appeals team directly at:

All appeal reconsiderations are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Not all cases qualify for a second look — most do not.
A reversal is rare and typically only occurs in cases where evidence is new, compelling, or a clear mistake was made.
Every decision is made with careful moderation review and spiritual discernment. While grace is extended, so is accountability.
