FaithlyBible - Law Enforcement Policy
Last Updated: March 30, 2025
FaithlyBible is committed to cooperating with law enforcement authorities while also protecting the privacy and rights of our users. However, under New York law, FaithlyBible is not legally required to assist law enforcement unless presented with a valid legal process, such as a subpoena, court order, or search warrant. This policy outlines our approach to handling law enforcement requests for user information, account data, or content hosted on our platform.
1. Guidelines for Law Enforcement Requests
FaithlyBible requires law enforcement agencies to follow applicable legal processes when requesting user information. Requests must be:
Submitted in Writing: All requests must be submitted in writing via official law enforcement email or postal mail.
Specific and Clear: Requests should clearly identify the information sought, including relevant account identifiers such as usernames, email addresses, or URLs.
Authorized by Law: Requests must comply with applicable legal standards and be accompanied by valid legal process, such as subpoenas, court orders, or search warrants.
2. Types of Information Available
Depending on the nature of the request and applicable laws, the following types of information may be disclosed:
Basic Subscriber Information: Username, email address, registration date, and other basic account details.
Usage Data: Information related to user activity, such as login times, IP addresses, and feature usage.
Content Data: User-generated content, messages, posts, or other material hosted on FaithlyBible. Content data will only be disclosed in response to a valid search warrant or equivalent legal process.
3. Emergency Disclosure Requests
In cases involving imminent harm, death, or serious bodily injury, FaithlyBible may disclose limited information without a formal legal process if we believe, in good faith, that such disclosure is necessary to prevent harm. Requests of this nature should be marked as "Emergency Request" and sent to [email protected].
4. User Notification
FaithlyBible reserves the right to notify users of law enforcement requests involving their information, except when:
Prohibited by law or legal process.
When notifying the user would pose a risk of harm or interfere with an investigation.
5. Preservation Requests
Law enforcement agencies may request FaithlyBible to preserve user account data for up to 90 days pending legal process. These requests must be submitted via official channels to [email protected].
6. Data Retention
FaithlyBible retains user data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Information is retained only as long as necessary to provide services, comply with legal obligations, or enforce our policies.
7. Costs
FaithlyBible may seek reimbursement for costs associated with responding to law enforcement requests, including costs for producing records, reviewing data, or otherwise processing requests.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Law Enforcement Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page, and continued use of FaithlyBible after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
9. Contact Information
Law enforcement agencies may submit requests or inquiries to:
Email: [email protected]
Postal Mail: FaithlyBible Legal Department, 123 Faithly Ave, New York, NY 10001
